10th HLF – Highlights, Thursday, September 28

The Thursday of the Heidelberg Laureate Forum has ended, and what a day it was!

For a collection of some memorable moments and glimpses into the setting of the HLF, check out our Snapshots video above!

Thursday morning featured a rich array of talks by laureates, followed by a riveting lecture by László Lovász. It concluded with a panel seeking to answer the question "Why Do So Many People Hate Mathematics?"

The afternoon offered room for attendees to dive into more detail on their favorite subjects, with another round of Workshops and Master Classes.

To round out the day, the evening saw attendees gather at the Speyer Museum of Technology, dining in the midst of impressive plane, automobile and space shuttle exhibits.

As always, select photos from this day can be found on our Flickr page.
