12th HLF – Highlights, Monday, September 15

The first full day of the 12th Heidelberg Laureate Forum has ended and we have collected some of the day’s highlights for you. Check them out in the “Snapshots” video above or over on our YouTube channel!

Monday kicked off with a number of rapid-fire Spark Talks on a variety of subjects, including one by Richard Sutton on his predictions for “The Future of Artificial Intelligence.” Amanda Randles, recipient of the 2023 ACM Prize in Computing, and the very first HLF alumna to receive one of the prizes celebrated at the HLF, held a lecture on “Vascular Digital Twins,” and how they are poised to reshape the future of healthcare.

Finally, all attendees received opportunities to meet and interact with each other even better: First through a rapid speed-networking session, and later on in the Poster Flash, where the young researchers were able to present their own research to the audience.

As always, select photos from this day can be found on our Flickr page.
