12th HLF – Highlights, Tuesday, September 16

The second full day of the 12th Heidelberg Laureate Forum has ended and we have collected some memorable moments and impressions in another “Snapshots” clip on our YouTube channel!

The morning’s line-up featured a deep pool of engaging talks by some of the foremost luminaries of mathematics and computer science.

Before lunch, young researchers also had the opportunity to dive deeper into more unique topics by attending various Workshops and Master Classes offered by the laureates and alumni of previous HLFs.

In the afternoon, a two-part Hot Topic panel closed out the day, centered on “The Machine Learning Revolution in Mathematics and Science,” exploring implications of new AI technologies on research practices in various fields.

To round out the day, the evening saw attendees gather for “Beats, Bites and Big Ideas,” where they carried on the discussions of the day amidst a reception and raucous karaoke singing.

As always, select photos from this day can be found on our Flickr page.
