The 13th Heidelberg Laureate Forum has concluded! It was an enormous pleasure to have such an exciting week with our laureates, young researchers, and guests, all of whom had the opportunity to engage deeply on a wide range of issues in mathematics and computer science. We hope everyone had a safe trip home, and thank you to every one of you who made this amazing week possible!

To round out the week, we have collected some impressions of the final day in our “Snapshots” video above, as well as a Highlight Film that looks back on the whole week.

The Friday kicked off with a lecture by noted mathematician and Fields Medal recipient Efim Zelmanov, looking at the 200-year development of abstract algebra.

Next, the attendees convened for the HLF's first ever Un-Conference, a bottom-up, participant-driven format where discussions focused on relevant, emerging topics that the participant's themselves pitched and voted for throughout the week.

Many sessions revolved around AI-related topics, such as its impacts on Academia, "How to Reshape Education in the Age of AI," or even "Technofacism and Silicon Valley Ideology." Others explored "Communication and People Skills," "The Role of Mathematics and Computer Science for Society," or simply "The Value of Pure Mathematics," to name just a few.

To close out the final day of the 13th Heidelberg Laureate Forum, the attendees arrived at Heidelberg Castle for a closing reception and the traditional Farewell Dinner.
