Prof. Dr. Anna Wienhard, Scientific Chairperson of the Heidelberg Laureate Forum Foundation since 2020, has been appointed director at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences in Leipzig. Her newly established research group conducts fundamental research in geometry, group theory and dynamics and explores applications and interactions with other sciences. In addition to her research, science communication within the research community and with the broader public plays a major role for her. Anna Wienhard moves from Heidelberg University to Leipzig.
