We would like to congratulate the 2019 ACM A.M. Turing Award recipients Patrick M. Hanrahan and Edwin E. Catmull! They were recognized for their work in 3-D computer graphics which revolutionized computer-generated imagery (CGI). Ed Catmull and Pat Hanrahan are groundbreakers in the field of computer graphics, through their use of innovative techniques and making major contributions to software and hardware. Their work has transformed filmmaking creating the possibility of entirely computer-animated features to be produced.
