We would like to congratulate the Abel Prize 2022 recipient Dennis Parnell Sullivan who was recognized "for his groundbreaking contributions to topology in its broadest sense, and in particular its algebraic, geometric and dynamical aspects." Throughout his career, he has utilized algebraic, analytic and geometric ideas to make historical breakthroughs from proving important theorems to developing novel problems that advance into new areas. Sullivan has transformed the world of mathematics through his tireless pursuit of understanding, plus his ability to visualize connections and then create bridges between vastly different areas of the discipline.
