The European Research Council (ERC) has awarded Prof. Dr. Anna Wienhard with an ERC Advanced Grant for outstanding scientists. Prof. Wienhard, a teacher and researcher at the Mathematical Institute of Heidelberg University, will receive about two million euros from the ERC for her project on symmetries in mathematics. Since 2015, Prof. Wienhard has also been a group leader at the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS), a Scientific Partner of the HLF. The HLFF is immensely proud to have such an active and distinguished researcher in mathematics as our Scientific Chairperson!
