Season's Greetings!

As we say goodbye to 2022, we would like to take a look back at just some of the exciting Heidelberg Laureate Forum Foundation (HLFF) highlights of this past year:

The beginning of the year saw the opening of the latest exhibition at our Mathematics Informatics Station (MAINS): "I AM A.I. – Artificial Intelligence Explained," which drew thousands of visitors throughout the year to dive into this fascinating topic. This exciting interactive exhibition, developed by IMAGINARY, is still open until January 29, 2023.

The main event of the year came with the 9th Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF), which took place from September 18 to 23. 200 of the brightest minds in mathematics and computer science came together with dozens of laureates for a week of interaction, networking and a profound exchange of ideas. One main focus of the HLF was "deep learning", which provided fertile ground for discussion and sparked engaging exchanges. For fascinating interviews and highlights, check out our HLF Vlog that captured unique moments from the Forum. To learn more about the inspiring work of some of our HLF alumni, have a look at our HLFF Spotlight series. For more in-depth analyses of the talks and discussions at the HLF, have a look at the HLFF Blog.

In November, the HLFF organized its annual Film Festival Mathematics –Computer Science together with the Karlstorkino in Heidelberg. Visitors were able to dive into a diverse array of films on these subjects, while enjoying insightful introductions and Q&As with special guest experts.

To round off the year, the HLFF launched its brand new initiative HLFF Inspiring Minds. The project aims to support HLF alumni in developing their personal career paths in mathematics and computer science, such as by developing their skills and building meaningful relationships with laureates and experts from academia, business and industry.

As this year draws to a close, we would like to express our thanks to all our partners, supporters and guests who have shown their appreciation for the work, the values and the mission of the Heidelberg Laureate Forum Foundation. We are grateful to each individual and organization that supports us to make both the Heidelberg Laureate Forum and all our other activities such rewarding experiences.

Season's Greetings from the entire HLFF team! We wish you all restful and relaxing holidays and a wonderful start into a healthy, happy and exciting New Year!
