We bid farewell to Niklaus E. Wirth

We bid farewell to the computer pioneer Niklaus E. Wirth, who passed away on January 1, 2024. He received the 1984 ACM A.M. Turing Award "for developing a sequence of innovative computer languages, EULER, ALGOL-W, MODULA and PASCAL. PASCAL has become pedagogically significant and has provided a foundation for future computer language, systems, and architectural research." We offer our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
